Winners must be in compliance with all Contest rules.

Each entry must have approval from any persons appearing in the Entry and the Entrant must be able to provide express written consent of every such person appearing in the Entry to NEEF if requested.

Entrant may not share any video unless the Entrant can verify that sharing the image does not violate the rights of any other person or company. NEEF reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any Entry that does not comply with the Official Rules set forth herein.

Each entry must not include any personally identifiable information, such as an Entrant’s full name, address or telephone number.

Each entry must be shot or include footage or stills depicting how you love your public land, featuring a specific public land and what activity you enjoy doing most on that public land.   Public lands are those lands owned by the public, meaning those people living in the United States, whether they be federal, state, county or local.  They may also be focused on water, such as publically owned lakes and estuaries.  Some lands are open to the public, but not owned by the public.

  1. Method of Entry.

An Entrant may enter an unlimited number of Entries during the Contest Period, but is only eligible to win one prize. During the Contest period, an Entrant must complete each of the following steps for each entry into the Contest (an “Entry”):

  • Create a video showcasing what activity you enjoy doing most in your parks, forests, wildlife refuges, beaches and waterways, to name a few.
  • Submit Entrant information at https://www.neefusa.org/i-love-my-land detailing your First Name, Last Name, Age, Email Address and the Name of Public Land you are featuring.
  • After Entrant information submission, add the hashtag #NPLDContest to the description of the video and post it to either the NEEFUSA Facebook or your own social media account, such as Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.  Your video submission and your information submission will be linked by NEEF.
  • The video should be no longer than 2 minutes in length and should not contain any unsafe or illegal activity on a public land.  Many activities performed on public lands have an element of danger, but proper safety precautions should be taken in the video.
  1. Selection of winners.

Entries must be received by 5 p.m. EST on October 12, 2016. Videos will be selected by a panel of either internal or external judges, chosen by NEEF. Entries will be judged based upon five (5) criteria: the creativity of the Entry, message content, effective use of contest theme (I Love My Land), technical production and overall presentation. Each criterion will be given equal weight. The decision of NEEF in all matters related to the selection of the winners and all matters relating to this Contest are final.

There will be First, Second and Third Place Winners. Winners will be announced via social media and will be posted on the NEEF website on or about October 23, 2016.

Entries must be original, produced by amateurs and not have been produced for compensation or previous to entry posted on any other webpage.
