FORT PIERCE INLET STATE PARK CELEBRATES NATIONAL PUBLIC LANDS DAY -- Helping Hands for Americas Lands--

FORT PIERCE: The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Fort Pierce Inlet State Park will be hosting a volunteer event in honor of National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 24, 2016. Volunteers are needed to help maintain the park’s Coastal Hammock and Red Bay Run trail system. Work together with park staff to remove litter, establish trail markers and trim overgrown vegetation. Work clothes and closed-toed shoes are required. Suggested items to bring with you include sunscreen, bottled water, insect repellent, trash grabbers, lopping shears and work gloves.
