NPLD for Toyota

Since 1999, Toyota has been the national corporate sponsor of the National Environmental Education Foundation's (NEEF) National Public Lands Day. In 2011, Toyota and NEEF also formed a new partnership to launch the Public Lands Every Day to build capacity for Friends Groups supporting public lands throughout the nation.

NPLD & TOYOTA: 20 YEARS OF PARTNERSHIP

2018 marks the 20th year of partnership between Toyota and NEEF's National Public Lands Day. Toyota encourages their employees to get involved in NPLD activities throughout the nation by helping to care for parks, forests, rivers, beaches, shorelines, and other public lands.

Toyota operates under a Global Earth Charter which was set forth to promote environmental responsibility for every aspect of the company and significantly reduce the impact that Toyota's vehicles have on the planet. Sponsorship of national and regional environmental preservation projects is just one of many areas in which Toyota has proven its environmental stewardship. The company created the world's first mass-produced, clean-running gas/electric hybrid car, the Prius, which has received numerous environmental awards, most notably from the Sierra Club and National Wildlife Federation.
