Hubachek Wilderness Research Center Invasives Removal

Join other volunteers in the removal or chemical treatment of Canada thistle, bull thistle, and tansy by digging/pulling or herbicide application, then bagging the pulled thistle. Please bring the following items. For digging/pulling: heavy leather gloves, sturdy footwear, digging tools, shovels, spades, hori-hori (weeding knife) Anyone using herbicides will need to wear long pants, long-sleeved shirts, and boots (rubber preferred). Nitrile gloves will be provided. Please also wear clothes appropriate for the weather. Note: There may be some navigation to thistle locations. At this time, all invasives to be treated are within a mile of our center of operations.
