National Public Lands Day: ''Adopt A Trail'' Day at Mason Neck State Park!

Join us in celebrating National Public Lands Day by adopting a trail for the day! Our park trails are utilized year round by visitors from near and far. Unfortunately, discarded trash is often blown upon the trails or is inadvertently dropped by hikers. Additionally, Mother Nature often contributes with downed branches or trees. Your volunteer services are needed to come out and patrol our trails, pick up trash, and observe any potential hazards or repairs that may be needed. Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes. Park rangers will meet you and provide you with gloves and trash bags. We appreciate your support in helping to maintain a more natural, trash-free habitat for wildlife, plants, and birds that reside at Mason Neck State Park! This event is appropriate for all ages.
