National Public Lands Day at Buffumville Lake and Hodges Village Dam

25th Anniversary Celebration: Please give us 2+ hours of your time; we'd love assistance taking care of YOUR federal land! PLUS- join us back at Buffumville Park for cake, punch and coffee, courtesy of our NPLD partner, The Last Green Valley (TLGV), http://www.thelastgreenvalley.org/.

Please join us by pre-registering for one of various Natural Resource Projects. Preliminary Projects include:

  • Trail Care (spreading stone in rutted areas)
  • Pond parking picnic upgrade
  • Disc Golf Upkeep
  • Food Plot Planting (kids project)
  • Exotic Plant Removal
  • Erosion Control (anchor hillside with riprap stone)
  • BVL island work (must have your own boat)
  • Trash pickup along road and/or shoreline (need boat/kayak)
  • Cut and clear Burning bush from hillside
  • Clear Out Overgrown Area on trail
  • Various Painting Projects
  • Install fencing at BV Park
  • And improve and add shade plants to garden in park.
