National Public Lands Day Event

It is a beautiful day outside, where the bird are singing, and flowers are blooming. But all is not well, as invasive exotic plant species are encroaching on this natural paradise, harming the native plants and animals that call Savannas Preserve State Park home. Come out and join us for National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 24 at the Education Center where we will have breakfast from 8:00am to 9:00am and afterwards learn about the park and the plants that are invading. Then we will head out to explore one of our many wonderful trails, where there will be information tables on invasive, natives, and ways to help the environment along with some games and prizes. As you travel our trail, you will be able to help us hand pull some of the exotics plant species that are found on the trail for those prizes and for our awesome park.
