National Public Lands Day at Sam Houston National Forest

Join us on the fourth Saturday of September for a day of Helping Hands for Public Lands. A day to volunteer to help OUR public lands as they face increasing budget cuts while users increase. September 24th we will be:

  1. Rebuilding a hiking trail bridge
  2. Cutting brush off the hiking trails
  3. Repainting trail markers
  4. Painting trail signs
  5. Install trail benches
  6. Planting wildflower seeds
  7. Invasive plant removal
  8. ...and much more

Pot luck lunch at 1:00 PM. The LSHT Conservancy will provide the main dish and desert, feel free to bring a side or bread, and a chair.
