Native Tree Planting, Pollinator Improvement, and Wildlife Observation

The Native Tree Planting, Pollinator Improvement, and Wildlife Observation project is needed to support objectives defined in the installation Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan for Naval Station Norfolk and Naval Weapons Station Yorktown.  This project effort would demonstrate compliance with Navy Environmental Management Policies, Department of Defense (DoD) Chesapeake Bay Action Plan goals, and the Sikes Act.

Project will involved the planting of 20 native trees and installation of 20 pollinator nest boxes as well as construction of a floating dock for fishing and wildlife observation. with up to 12 volunteers.
