Trail Mulching Project

Come join the Friends of Tomoka Basin State Parks group on Saturday, September 17th (celebrating National Public Lands Day a week early) and help support their "Nature Trail Mulching Project". This project is in preparation for their October 28th Candlelight Trail Walk evening event.

Pre-register at bulowinformation@gmail.com and meet at 9am at the screened pavilion on project day. We intend to complete mulching of the trail between the pavilion and the ruins. Dress appropriately for the weather (long-pants/sleeves and close-toed shoes preferred) and bring sunscreen, hat, work gloves and bug spray is highly recommended. The friends group will be providing snacks and bottled water so pre-registration is encouraged please. Boy or Girl Scout troops, company, or other groups looking for service hours are encouraged to come and help us improve our historic trail. Then enjoy the beautiful park for the rest of the day, free of charge. There are picnic tables, grills, a boat launch, onsite canoe rentals and beautiful Bulow Creek for bird watching and fishing. Won't you join us?
