As part of the John D. Dingell Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act, signed into law in 2019, the El Mirage OHV Area saw its existing boundary expand by approximately 1500 acres. While these new lands are open to the public, an estimated 4,300 ft. of the obsolete fence line and 450 fence posts still remain in the ground. To improve access and remove potential hazards from the "Expansion Area," we are enlisting the help of the Roughwheelers and other 4-Wheel Drive Clubs, and the public, to assist Friends of El Mirage in removing this fence line.

The work event will occur in Southern California at the BLM El Mirage OHV Recreation Area during the weekend of October 25-26.
