Burrowing Owl site restoration
Help rehab a burrowing owl nest site by removing dumped trash. Long term the BLM plans to fence off this illegal access road in order to better protect theses owls and their home on public lands.

Meet at the Ridgecrest Field Office at 8AM Saturday Oct 25th, 2025 then vehicle caravan to our work site (less than 10 minute drive). Plan for a day of work outside (work gloves, long sleeves, pants, close toed shoes, water, and snacks/lunch). BLM staff will orient you to the site then we will get to work by packing out dumped trash that is close to the owl's home. We will work till 1pm or whenever the site is cleared. Hope you can make it!
