Volunteers will meet at 10:00am Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Tolkan Campground and the trailhead of the Paradise Royale MTB trail where we'll split into several groups and travel to work sites.  Trail maintenance will include raking leaves, repairing trail creep and water bars, and trimming back shrubs and vegetation.  Groups will return to Tolkan by 2:00pm for a volunteer appreciation lunch provided by the BLM staff.   Camping is free for volunteers at Tolkan Campground.   Bring your mountain bike for some fun after the work!  For more information call the King Range NCA Visitor Center at 707-986-5415.

The Paradise Royale trail system is an amazing way to experience the Lost Coast of Northern California. The trails have been designed and built for a mountain bike optimized experience. The Bureau of Land Management has been partnering with mountain biking advocates and clubs, to plan, develop, and construct an environmentally sustainable, challenging mountain bike trail system in the Paradise Ridge area of the King Range National Conservation Area. The King Range NCA's Douglas fir-covered peaks also attracts hikers, hunters, and campers, while the coast beckons to surfers, anglers, beachcombers, and many others.  The system currently includes 25 miles of trails with varying levels of difficulty. Highlights include diverse scenic vistas, backcountry settings, and developed bike park features. Visitors will marvel at the backcountry riding experiences that have been skillfully melded with modernized trail construction techniques, resulting in a truly unique ride experience.
