The Hardscape Reduction and Training Area Enhancement project at Rees Training Center will improve the delineation between active training grounds and recreational spaces through strategic planting of native vegetation. This initiative replaces invasive species with a diverse landscape of trees, shrubs, and plants selected for historical accuracy and sustainability, reducing hardscape and enhancing microclimates. The project supports both mission readiness by improving security and enhances quality of life by beautifying the Cantonment area and promoting responsible land stewardship. Ultimately, this project fosters a balance between military function and environmental health.
