As an official site of the Grand County Interagency NPLD event the BLM will be partnering with Protect Our Rivers - ProtectOurRivers.org again for 2025; for the Upper Colorado River 16th Annual River Cleanup. This is the 31th NPLD Interagency event held in Grand County with multiple land management agencies. The project goal is to provide educational opportunities with Protect Our Rivers for the conservation of rivers and promotion of Leave No Trace ethics for volunteers while conducting trail maintenance and improvement efforts on the Gore Canyon Trail, starting at Pumphouse Recreation Area.  Additional volunteer work may include river related projects on the river corridor and maintenance of campsites along the river. Volunteers will be provided free camping at group sites at both the Pumphouse and Radium Recreation Areas for both Friday and Saturday Nights. An after work appreciation party is hosted by Protect Our Rivers at the Pumphouse Recreation Area with food, music and awards.

Volunteers will be working with hand tools, moving dirt and picking up trash to improve BLM trails and facilities.  For trail work volunteers must wear closed toe shoes and long pants.  Long sleeves or sunshirts are recommended.
