Join Us in Protecting Our Home Outdoors: Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area!

The Bureau of Land Management invites individuals, partner agencies, and organized groups to participate in volunteer projects that care for, protect, and conserve Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area (NCA). In the spirit of "Our Home Outdoors," your efforts will help preserve this stunning landscape as a welcoming sanctuary where communities connect, feel rooted, and develop a shared sense of place.

Exciting Volunteer Opportunities Await!

We are offering two main projects this year, with the potential for more opportunities as we continue planning. Here's what you can look forward to:

  • BioBlitz: Join us for a BioBlitz, where you'll team up with experts to identify and catalog the diverse species that call this vibrant area home. This experience is suitable for all ages and invites everyone to engage in the wonder of nature.
  • Cleanup Projects: Help maintain the welcoming spirit of the NCA by picking up litter in easily accessible areas along State Route 159, including the Red Rock Canyon Overlook and the Scenic Drive Exit. These projects are best suited for adults and minors aged 14 years or older due to the high traffic in these areas.

Why Volunteer?

  • Make a Difference: Your contribution will have a lasting impact on our cherished public lands, preserving them for future generations.
  • Connect with Nature: Experience the breathtaking beauty of Red Rock Canyon NCA up close while learning about its unique ecosystems, deepening your connection to the land.
  • Build Community: Meet like-minded individuals and forge lasting connections as you work collaboratively toward a common purpose, fostering a sense of belonging and community spirit.
  • Gain Skills: Learn new skills and gain valuable experience in conservation and land management, enriching your understanding of the environment around you.

Our volunteer opportunities are open to everyone, regardless of experience or background. Whether you're an avid outdoor enthusiast, a local resident, or a visitor eager to give back, there’s a space for you in our community. If you are under 18, an adult must register for the event and accompany you during the project.
