Volunteers will work with park staff in the field, in off trail areas surveying plants in order to help the park identify and record the distribution of native and invasive plants. A 30-minute training on safe off-trail practices and on the identification of local plants will be provided prior to the start of the project.

Preferred Qualifications:

Volunteers for this position will ideally

  1. Be available from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on September 27, 2025
  2. Have an interest in plant identification
  3. Be prepared to work for 3-4 hours outdoors, off-trail, in areas with limited to no shade
  4. Be ready to follow all safety guidelines including wearing long pants, long sleeves, close-toed shoes, hats, sunscreen and bug spray
