Pre-registered volunteers will assist the National Park Service in removing litter and debris from the Kingsley Plantation shoreline and grounds on Fort George Island. 

Due to the sensitive nature of the shoreline, this is a limited participation event.

 Volunteers must pre-register and receive a registration confirmation email from park staff to participate. Volunteers that are not confirmed for service will be turned away, due to limited capacity. 

Timeline of event:

10:20-30 AM || Volunteers will meet staff at the entrance to Kingsley Plantation and receive directions for parking 

10:40 AM || Volunteers will gather with staff for our safety briefing, goals of volunteer services, and orientation to the site at our Visitor Center.

10:45 AM || Volunteers will be given Personal Professional Equipment(PPE) and clean-up supplies before dispersing to the shoreline or the grounds to begin collecting litter with NPS staff. 

11:30 AM || Volunteers will begin to collect supplies and PPE to return to the Visitor Center. 

11:45 AM || Volunteers can provide feedback and reflect of their service. 

12:00 PM || Event closeout and departure from Kingsley Plantation.
