The 6th Annual Talbot Tidewater Celebration is a family event featuring a kids fishing clinic, guided hikes and canoe rides, environmental organization exhibits, many hands-on activities for kids and adults, presentations, live music and food for purchase in a beautiful location. The perfect way to celebrate National Public Lands Day!

The 6th Annual Talbot Tidewater Celebration is a fun filled family day! We will have a Kids Fishing Clinic, sponsored by The Timucuan Parks Foundation and The National Park Service. Exhibitors from the NE Florida and SE Georgia environmental community will share about their mission and activities with the 400+ attendees. The activities for kids also include on-site marine mammal rescue simulations, hands-on enviroscape, shorebird, sea turtle and archaeological digs and arts & crafts and guided canoe rides. Hikes will be lead throughout the day, some of the focus areas are birding, geocaching and native plants & flowers. Adults will enjoy presentations about The Archaeological and Indigenous History of Big Talbot Island, The Life Cycle of a Honeybee, A Tour of the Solar System, The Ribault Club History and an all day presentation of Northeast Florida Aquatic Preserve Programs. Live music, food for purchase and a gorgeous riverfront setting for the perfect picnic round out an amazing National Public Lands Day event!
