Event details

On Saturday, September 27th, from 8:30 to 11:00 am, the Friends of Griffith Park will be removing caster bean (Ricinus communis), Indian Tobacco (Lobelia inflata), and black mustard (Brassica nigra).  We will be focused on the north end of Mineral Wells Picnic Area, along the Toyon Trail.  We are meeting at the Mineral Wells sign, which is located at the southern end of the picnic area.

We strongly recommend that everyone wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, a hat, and sunscreen.  We will supply the hand tools, work gloves, water, and cups, but if you have your own work gloves and or water container, you should bring these items.

Before anyone can volunteer in the park, they must first complete and submit one of our Volunteer Agreement Forms.  We will have blank forms available at the Welcome Table on the day of the event.  If you have already completed one of our forms, you will only need to sign in.
