This event takes place on Saturday, September 27th from 9am-2pm. Check-in will take place at the Washington Park Otto Dahl Shelter starting at 8:30am. There will be multiple projects with varying levels of experience and labor. Volunteers will have the opportunity to hear about each project before selecting their project and traveling to that location. This event is a collaboration between Common Outdoor Ground, the Trail FAIRIES, the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest, Wyoming Conservation Corps, Wyoming State Parks, Southeastern Wyoming Climbing Coalition, the Southeast Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Collaborative, and the University of Wyoming Outdoor Program and SLCE Office. Coffee & donuts will be provided in the morning, and lunch will be provided for volunteers to take to their projects. Materials, tools, gloves, and instructions will be provided for all sites. Transportation will be available for University of Wyoming students. All participants are encouraged to carpool to their project site.
Volunteers will be working outdoors. Plan to wear closed toe shoes and bring a backpack suitable to carry your lunch and personal items, extra layer in case of inclement weather, water bottle (2 liters recommended), and work gloves (if you have them). Volunteers also have the opportunity to join NEEF's nationwide National Public Lands Day BioBlitz by observing and identifying species while you volunteer at this event.
