National Public Lands Day 2025 will be Saturday, September 27. This is a statewide event that provides unique opportunities for Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteers to participate in our largest single day of service. Locations across the state will have MNats and others out helping to make Minnesota a better place!

Friends and family are welcome to participate, but must be registered to participate. Everyone will sign a photo release upon site registration. All participants will receive a free NPLD branded item and a day pass to a national park as a thank you for participating. You can add additional participant names in the comment field.

Registration by September 5th is required to receive a t-shirt. Registration will close on September 19th for participation in the event without a t-shirt.

We will meet at the lower level parking lot of the Wabun Picnic Area. Volunteers will be performing invasive species removal, including buckthorn. There is an opportunity to be a resource for instruction and ID, if you are comfortable with this. Please bring a water bottle, your preferred snack, your preferred gloves and tools, (if any). We will provide a variety of snacks and cold water dispenser, and loan gloves and a variety of options for tools. We do not use weed wrenches. Wear long pants and sturdy shoes.
