Event details

When:  September 27, 2025 from 9 am – 12 pm (after event picnic from 12 pm – 1 pm)

Where: This cleanup is on-land only. We have a couple dozen dispersed camp sites to clean! We will organize volunteers in advance into pods and each pod will have two to four sites to visit. We will convene in the morning at the Ripplebrook Camp Store, have coffee and pass out supplies, then head to our selected sections. **Please note: the Ripplebrook Camp Store says permanently closed on Apple and Google Maps – it is NOT. You can take 224 all the way there, 224 is not closed at any point.

Why:  Trash on the river threatens not only the river’s scenic beauty, but it also harms fish and wildlife and impairs drinking water quality. This is the first coordinated volunteer effort to clean the upper Clackamas River.
