Join us for our National Public Lands Day 2025 event at Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie. There are three projects to choose from 1. Seed harvesting from seedbeds; 2. Seed harvesting from a restoration site; and 3. Brush cutting along a trail. After the projects we will come together to enjoy lunch (bring your own), raffle off some great prizes, and have the opportunity to meet Woodsy Owl. Please register by emailing Midewin Partnership Coordinator Laura Lewis at laura.m.lewis@usda.gov by Wednesday, September 24th. Check-in begins at 8:30am, followed by a Welcome and Safety message from our Prairie Supervisor. Projects will wrap up at 12pm, followed by lunch. Event site is River Road Seedbeds.
