Help the NPS trail crew repair the Long Point Trail! This is a one day event to rebuild sections of heavily impacted trail tread, remediate and close social trails, and construct elevated trail causeway. Volunteers will assist with the construction of approximately 120 feet of timber lined and gravel filled trail causeway using hand and power tools. Volunteers will also assist with the rebenching areas of eroding trail tread and reopen trail drains with hand tools. Volunteers will assist in the remediation of a large trail reroute using hand and power tools to seed and naturalize an old road/trail corridor. All tools, PPE, and training will be provided by NPS. Event will begin with a safety briefing at 9 AM on the day of the event.
