National Public Lands Day is the perfect occasion to breathe new purpose into an old kiosk, transforming it into a welcoming point of engagement for visitors. Volunteers gather to honor and enhance shared outdoor spaces, and restoring a kiosk becomes both a symbolic and practical effort. From sanding and repainting sun-faded panels to replacing outdated maps and signage, the work blends history with community spirit. Come volunteer to help restore and transform the kiosk at Oxbow Lake here in St. Paul, Virginia. Meeting for this event will be at the Oxbow Lake parking lot.
