Westwater Canyon is within the Westwater Wilderness Study Area -- it is a highly sought after 14 mile float through stunning geology and with formidable rapids.  Being downstream from the town of Grand Junction means that trash often escapes downriver -- and the end of the season is an excellent time to gather this trash.  Volunteers will also help with invasive control, infrastructure repair and other necessary activities to keep Westwater the pristine experience that it is.  Please remember to contact the BLM office prior to signing up, as advance notice is necessary.
