Join us on Saturday, September 26th from 10:00AM-12:00PM as we plant native prairie plugs in honor of National Public Lands Day! This event will be held on-site at Riverfront Park, located at 201 E River Rd Service Road, Fridley, MN 55421.
The program is free but registration is required to ensure we have enough supplies for everyone. Register at our Eventbrite page here. Volunteer work will also involve walking on uneven ground, bending, digging, and watering. If you anticipate needing any accommodations in order to volunteer or have any questions, please contact Lauren Schmelzer by email at lauren.schmelzer@anokaswcd.org or call 763-434-2030 x220.
Please bring a water bottle, sun protection, insect repellent, hand trowel, and gardening gloves. Anoka Conservation District can provide some gloves and hand trowels, but it is encouraged to bring your own if you have them.
In case of bad weather, this event may be postponed. All registered volunteers will be informed in advance and an alternative date and time will be provided through email.
