USACE will be placing a total of 100 "crappie cubes" within a several acre acrea around the Indian Creek Recreation Area Hike-in shoreline of Mark Twain Lake. The structures are a 4X4X4 ft cube made from mostly PVC and drain pipe. The structures will be located on the Spalding boat ramp. USACE will have a representative on site to show the exact placement of the structure into the water from the boat. Once the structure is placed, the process will be repeated until all 100 cubes are submerged. We encourage volunteers to help with the project with loading on the boat ramp or assisting with placement by shuttling structures with their personal boat.
