Rend Lake Bike Fest is hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Southern Illinois E-bikes, in partnership with Franklin County Sheriff's Office and the Core Friends of Rend Lake. Join us at the Rend Lake Visitor Center for a day filled with bike-themed fun!

Guided Stewardship Ride, 10:30-12:30

Ride Length: approximately 6 miles round trip

Participants will join Rend Lake Park Rangers for a guided stewardship ride along the Rend Lake Bike Trail. Volunteers will remove invasive species to enhance habitats for native flora and fauna. There will be a limited number of e-bikes and helmets available for the ride on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bikes and water bottles and should wear closed-toe shoes. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will provide all tools necessary for the stewardship activity. To register for the stewardship ride, call the Rend Lake Visitor Center at 618-724-2493.

Self-Guided Interpretive Ride, 10:30-1

If participants do not wish to join the stewardship activity, they are welcome to explore the Rend Lake Bike Trail on a self-guided interpretive tour. There will be mounted signs along the trail pointing out plants and places of interest.

Bike Safety Checks and Informational Booth, 10-1

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office will be conducting bike safety checks throughout the day. There will also be information available about bicycle safety, upcoming regulations, and future bike events.

Bike and Helmet Raffle, 10-1

Visit the Franklin County Sheriff's Office booth to enter the bike and helmet raffle. Winners will be announced at 12:45. If winners are not present, they will be contacted after the event.

Food Trucks, 10-1

Stop by the food vendors in the Rend Lake Visitor Center parking lot for some awesome eats!
