Event details

Coordinated by the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF), NPLD brings together thousands of volunteers—individuals, families, organizations, and agencies—to care for and celebrate America’s public lands through service and community events. This year's theme "Our Home Outdoors" is a reminder that these lands are not just physical spaces—they are where we come together, feel rooted, and develop a sense of place.

Join the National Park Service and the Santa Monica Mountains Fund on Saturday, September 26 from 8:30am-1pm at Paramount Ranch to help tend to trails, plant native vegetation in fire-impacted areas, and tidy up high-visited areas. No experience required, all are welcome!

All volunteers who work for the entire duration of the event will receive a Fee-Free Pass which allows a single free entry into any federal public lands site.
