Come celebrate National Public Lands Day and help maintain some of the most used trails in Chimney Rock State Park. Join Rangers in trail work across the park making sure that our public lands remain safe and accessible for all park visitors. Activities will include replacing blazes and labels, trimming vegetation, and preparing exhibits for painting. We plan to hike the 0.4-miles on the Great Woodland Adventure trail and will carry our supplies. Please wear close-toed shoes and proper attire. Please bring plenty of water and snacks.

At the end of the workday please feel free to continue up the mountain on a guided hike with Park Rangers to replace blazes along the Hickory Nut Gorge State Trail.

*Admission to the park will be waived for volunteers who sign up in advance by contacting Ranger Townsend at robert.townsend@ncparks.gov or by calling 828-625-1823.
