National Public Lands Day Stewardship
Take time today to visit the park and make it yours. Meander along an autumn trail or enjoy some September sunshine on the beach. Please also reflect on the importance of having outdoor recreation areas that are open and available to all people. One way to give back would be to join our invasive plant foray to reduce the growth of Autumn Olive, a shrub that challenges the very existence of other woodland species. Meet at the archery range for an introduction to the plant, and directions to patches of invasive olive to remove to help us maintain the park's natural beauty. Please bring your own work gloves and safety glasses. We will supply clippers and loppers for your use while you provide this appreciated service. Tap water and restrooms are not available at the archery range.
