At 10:00am on Saturday, September 26th 2026, volunteers are invited to take part in National Public Lands Day at Beech Fork Lake in Lavalette, WV. Volunteers will be assisting USACE Beech Fork Lake staff in installing several new benched and educational signs at the Hawkins Pollinator Habitat, adjacent to our entrance sign along Beech Fork Road. Volunteers may park at the lower/downstream recreation area. The Hawkins Pollinator habitat is an approximately 8 acre native pollinator habitat and trail system currently in development, with the goal of being an accessible educational resource for our region, beyond the ecological benefits. Installing the benches and educational signage will bring the area another step closer to achieving this.
