Plant Native Workdays, Indiana State Fairgrounds DNR Building
Join DNR staff from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. ET during May to October for group workdays at the Indiana State Fairgrounds DNR Building. Volunteers will help improve urban wildlife habitat and promote native landscaping to State Fair visitors. Volunteers can sign up for one, or all, of our upcoming workdays, May through October. Each workday has a slightly different focus, and all ages are welcome with adult supervision. No experience is necessary and DNR staff and other volunteers will be available to direct all skill levels. Volunteers should wear protective clothing such as closed-toed shoes, long pants, and gardening or work gloves. Please bring a water bottle and hand tools if possible. A limited number of gloves and tools are available on site for volunteers. Water refill stations, restrooms, and small snack offerings are available each workday. Please register at https://cerv.is/0064x3399. DNR values access for all participants and will provide reasonable accommodation for this event. Please contact Jennifer Boyce at jboyce@dnr.IN.gov or 317-407-5607 to request an accommodation or discuss any questions and concerns. Requests must be submitted at least one week before the event.
