Champions of Public Lands: Care and Commitment

To honor the 30th Anniversary of National Public Lands Day, NEEF is planning a social media and storytelling campaign to showcase the unwavering commitment of longtime event organizers, site managers, and volunteers who have participated in NPLD events. 

Campaign Submissions

We would like to ask you to fill out a short form and submit photos, videos, or a combination of both to demonstrate the significance of National Public Lands Day to you.

Please note: If you prefer to create your own post from your account, please reach out to us. We will collaborate with you on social media. Don't forget to tag NEEF in your post to ensure proper recognition and visibility.

Photos

Please provide a minimum of three photos, selecting at least one from each category outlined below. We welcome and appreciate the submission of additional photos as well!

For all photos please provide:

  • Caption that describes who and what is happening in the photo
  • Name the photo: CareForLand_[Site Name]_[photo name]

 

Category 1: Photo of You

Ready for your closeup? Pose near the sign of your land or with some equipment.

If you are camera shy, get out on the land and take the picture from far away.

Category 2: Landscape of the land being helped by NPLD 

Show off your natural beauty with the best spots on your public land. This image can be a view or landscape and included wildlife or monuments.

Category 3:  Action photo of an NPLD event making an impact

  • You can include groups working, before and after pictures from previous events

Video Submissions

For video clips, please ensure they are in vertical orientation (typical format for phone videos) and include the sections outlined below in the Video Requirements below.

  • If speaking to the camera, find a quiet outdoor location with minimal background noise.
  • If unable to capture all suggested video clips, you can also send photos. We can use a combination of photos and video clips to create a Reel.
  • You can use NEEF’s video tipsheet for other suggestions.

If you would like to submit a video, please make sure to include the sections outlined below:

  • Introduction (at least 30 seconds)

    • Give your name, public land site, and #of years you have been involved with National Public Lands Day
    • Why do you host NPLD events?
    • What impact have you seen over the years?
    • What’s your favorite NPLD memory?
    • Why should someone else get involved with NPLD?
    • What is your project for NPLD 2023?
