Join Allegany State Park as we celebrate “National Public Lands Day” with 21 years of participation! National Public Lands Day is our nation’s largest one-day event designed to give people a chance to give back to the public lands they love by volunteering for a few hours on a variety of service projects that enhance both the park and the visitor experience. This year’s event takes place Saturday, September 27 on the Quaker side of the park. We have numerous volunteer projects in the works with something for everyone to participate!
The day will start off with Check-in/Registration from 9:00-9:30 at the Quaker Museum. Service Projects will be from 9:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m., followed by a picnic lunch at the Quaker Picnic Pavilion at 1:00 p.m. Participants are asked to come dressed for the weather and expect to get dirty. This event will be held rain or shine.
