This specific clean up is one of many intended clean up efforts by Taos Bureau of Land Management, Tesuque Pueblo, and the Santa Fe National Forest. The co-stewardship agreement between Taos Bureau of Land Management Field Office, Tesuque Pueblo, and the Santa Fe National Forest is intended to care for the Caja del Rio area which has seen significant amount of use, including illegal dumping, recreational shooting, and off-road activities over the years. This particular clean up effort will be directed at the Camel Tracks area, a popular informal shooting range on land administered by the Taos Bureau of Land Management where a significant amount of dumping has occurred. BLM and Forest Service will have provide water, gloves, waste containers, and trash supplies. Volunteers should bring their own water bottles, snacks, and lunch.
