Join Sustainable Sandhills for a 1.5 mile hike through the beautiful longleaf pine forests of Cumberland County. Our guide will lead participants on a trek down the Wiregrass Loop Trail and chat about the region's flora, fauna, geology, history and more.

Following the hike, we'll conduct a litter sweep of the park's gateway road. Supplies including safety vests, litter grabbers, gloves and trash bags will be provided. (Participation is optional.)

This event is free and open to the public and recommended for ages 8 and up.

The trail is sandy and relatively flat with some areas of exposed roots and rocks.

This event is possible through the generous sponsorship of Fayetteville Public Works Commission.
