The Angeles National Forest invites you to volunteer in the Crystal Lake Recreation Area and Campground to give back on National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 26, from 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. by improving our recreation area and giving back to our public lands. On-site registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. and we will kick-off the event around 8:30 a.m. Thank you to our partners and volunteer groups for your ongoing support: National Forest Foundation, Angeles Volunteer Association, and the San Gabriel Mountains Trailbuilders.

Important event information:
All participants are encouraged to carpool.
Please be prepared to work outside and get dirty. Bring water, clothes for varying weather conditions, closed-toe shoes, and a desire to give back to your public lands. The event will conclude with a lunch hosted by the National Forest Foundation.
Tools may be limited in number, so feel free to bring your own reusable water bottles, masks, rakes, grabbers, buckets, gloves, etc. with you. As a reminder, if you are feeling ill, you are encouraged to stay home.
Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian along with a signed consent form. Please complete sections 3-19 and 28-35 of the following form and email it at least one week in advance to michael.hansen@usda.gov: https://www.fs.usda.gov/sites/default/files/OF-301a-Volunteer-Service-Agreement-expires-10-31-24.pdf. The parent or legal guardian must sign all forms on behalf of the minor, including sections 34 and 36.
