Join Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area (DEWA) & Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River (UPDE) on Saturday, September 27 at 10:00 am to celebrate National Public Lands Day! We will be cleaning up the Milford Beach Day Use area, located at 150 Milford Beach Rd. The event will take place from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and volunteers will meet under the pavilion to hear a safety briefing and sign any necessary Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) before beginning the volunteer work. Tasks will include weeding and removing invasive plants, adding mulch to gravel areas, planting greenery, and removing trash. Please bring water and snacks – food will not be provided at the event. Please come prepared and dressed appropriately for outdoor work with closed-toe shoes, long sleeves, long pants, long socks, and a hat for solar protection. This event is limited to 15 participants, but all ages are welcome to participate! To sign up, reach out to either Sophia McKinstry or Jolene Miller, or apply directly on volunteer.gov

The Milford Beach Day Use parking is located at the same address listed above. For more information or specific directions, please contact either jolene_miller@partner.nps.gov or sophia_mckinstry@partner.nps.gov
