Fairy Stone State Park
Did you know there was once a thriving "boom town" located where our lake is today? This ranger-led program explores the missing town and its rowdy residents. Discover how moonshining put the boom in "boom town!" The presentation will be followed by an optional guided hike on our Iron Mine and Upper Stuart's Knob Trails. This trail system is about two miles, and has steep portions, but offers spectacular views of Fairy Stone Lake.
