Celebrate the end of summer with a fun and educational day at the First Ladies National Historic Site! On Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., visitors of all ages are invited to enjoy a variety of free activities in and around the historic Saxton House and park grounds.
Step inside the Saxton House, the former home of First Lady Ida Saxton McKinley, for self-guided open house tours. Learn about the life and legacy of America’s first ladies through interpretive displays and friendly staff stationed throughout the home to answer questions.
Outside in the park, relax and enjoy live music throughout the day while participating in classic yard games like cornhole, giant Jenga, and more—perfect for kids and families. Don’t miss the Ranger talks, where National Park Service staff will share stories about First Ladies and their connection to nature.
Whether you're a history buff, a local looking for a family-friendly day out, or someone just passing through Canton, this event is the perfect opportunity to explore the site, enjoy the sunshine, and connect with your community.
