Gettysburg National Military Park is proud to be participating in National Public Lands Day. This one day event will focus on the Triangular Field and Devil's Den areas of the battlefield. It was through the Triangular Field that Confederate forces would push back the Union line taking the area of Devil’s Den. We will focus on removing overgrown brush, dead vegetation and any invasive species located in the area to maintain an open landscape and protect biological diversity.

All tools will be provided by the park. Volunteers are encouraged to wear clothes designed for working in brush. Long pants, long sleeves and a hat are recommended. Boots or other closed toe shoes are required. Volunteers are also encouraged to bring a water bottle. Bug Spray and Sunscreen is recommended.
