Join neighbors, nature lovers, and community leaders for the first Friends of Haw River State Park interest meeting — an opportunity to help shape the future of one of North Carolina's most beloved State Parks. This welcoming session will introduce the vision for a Friends group dedicated to supporting Haw River State Park through volunteer stewardship, educational programming, event support, fundraising, and more. Attendees will hear from park staff about the benefits to the park and community of a strong Friends group, learn about the many ways volunteers can get involved, and participate in an open discussion about next steps.

Whether you are a longtime park visitor, an educator looking for partnership opportunities, a volunteer with trail maintenance experience, or someone who wants to give back to your community, we need you! Meet fellow advocates and leave with concrete ways to contribute — from one-time event help to much-needed leadership roles in our Friends chapter.
