In honor of National Public Lands Day, get some fresh air and a good workout while helping to make a difference in your community. We will be removing invasive woody brush with loppers.  Chainsaws, brushcutters, and burn piles may also be onsite during the event.

Please wear clothes appropriate for the weather, getting dirty and being near a fire. The ground will be uneven and covered with vegetation. Long pants, sturdy shoes, and socks covering the ankles are recommended. Bringing water and snacks is recommended.

Most of the tasks will take place on uneven terrain that is primarily a natural surface. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this workday should mention their request when registering.  Litter pickup can be conducted on paved surfaces.

Space is limited, and registration is required. For additional information, contact Volunteer Services at 815-722-7364 or volunteerservices@fpdwc.org.
