Holgate Beach Clean-up
In celebration of National Public Lands Day the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge invites you to the 2025 Holgate Beach Clean-Up! The Refuge, along with our partners; Friends of Forsythe, Alliance for a Living Ocean, Long Beach Township and the Holgate Taxpayers Association invite you to join us! September 26, 2025, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Holgate Wilderness Area on the southern end of Long Beach Island. Registration is strongly encouraged but not required. Come enjoy the beauty of the refuge while making it cleaner and safer for all!

2025 Holgate Beach Clean-Up! 

September 26, 2025, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Holgate Wilderness Area on the southern end of Long Beach Island. Registration is strongly encouraged but not required. Come enjoy the beauty of the refuge while making it cleaner and safer for all!

Individuals will be given buckets and trash grabbers to use while walking down the beach picking up trash and debris that does not belong there. There will be trucks going down the beach to pick up trash from volunteers so they don't have to carry it all the way back to the entrance.
