Make your fishing experience truly memorable by combining hands-on recreation with environmental education on our public lands. As you fish, take the initiative to clean up the area—not just for yourself, but for everyone who follows. Each act of stewardship ensures these scenic spots remain beautiful and welcoming for generations to come.

Fishing may take place on BLM-managed portions of either the Highline Canal or the All-American Canal. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place in each category:
• Adult Catfish
• Kids Catfish
• Adult & Kids Bass
Winners will be determined by the length of the fish.

Prizes will consist of Fishing rods, fishing gear and camping gear. Each participant is eligible for a free T-shirt and swag.  We will also have an informational booth providing education on our natural resources and provide information about recreation opportunities in our public lands.

Registration begins September 1st, 2026, and will be available in person at the BLM El Centro Field Office, located at 1661 S. 4th St., El Centro, CA 92231. At registration and day of the event, participants will receive a trash bag to collect litter while fishing. As a thank you for helping care for our public lands, participants who return with a bag of collected trash will receive free event swag.

A valid CA state fishing license is required.
