Lend a hand to the land with DNR staff by participating in a cleanup event at Hovey Lake Fish & Wildlife Area (FWA) on Friday, Sept. 25, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. CT. This community-focused National Public Lands Day event involves collecting trash and cleaning up along the water to improve wildlife habitat and outdoor recreation experiences
Volunteers will meet staff at the Hovey Lake FWA Main Office for greeting and orientation. Staff will have trash bags and gloves available for volunteers. All ages are welcome. Due to nature of the event and location along the water, children must be accompanied by an adult. Closed toed shoes and long pants are recommended. Please bring water and snacks for the day as needed. Restrooms and water refills will be available within the main office.
