Celebrate National Public Lands Day on September, 26, 2026, at J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge! Join us for hands-on conservation learning-including morning monofilament clean-ups and garden weeding- alongside family crafts, a Wildlife Drive scavenger hunt, and an interactive-led program. Whether you're paddling out to protect wildlife or exploring on land, there's an activity for all ages to give back and connect with nature. You can register on our Eventbrite page or just show up! Please bring your own PPE, kayak or paddle if you plan on participating in the monofilament clean up. 

SCHEDULE OF PLANNED EVENTS 

8:00am to 11:30am - Monofilament clean up, bring your own kayak & PPE meet at the the Roost (next to parking lot)
 

8:00am to 11:30am - Pulling weeds for native plants, meet at the Roost (next to parking lot)
 

9:00am to 3:30pm - Pick up Drive-along Wildlife Drive scavenger hunt and prize at the Roving Ranger (stationed by the restrooms).
 

9:00am to 3:30pm - Nature themed craft at the Nature Nook. (screened in lanai under admin building)
 

10:00am to 10:30am - Ranger-led, interactive education at the Roost (next to parking lot)
